How To Order An Orion Fixture

wiring diagramSimple Plug-and-Play Installation Instructions

Most installations are simple.

  • Select a location to place the power supply.

  • Plug the power supply into an available outlet and extend the low voltage output cable to “Red-Dot-End” of first LED Mini-Orion. If cable extension is required, see step “Adding Length to Low Voltage Connections.”

  • If a Dimmer or On/Off Touch Switch (sold separately) is used, install between power supply and first Mini-Orion and affix to underside of cabinet or other desired location.

  • Plug the provided 6” jumper into the opposite end of the Mini-Orion and connect to the next LED Mini-Orion in the series. Connect all Mini-Orion in series and test before installing under cabinets.

  • Install the first Mini-Orion as desired using the peel off tape or the mounting clips (both provided in the package) and secure to underside of cabinet 1”-2” behind front lip, facing downward.

  • You may continue to connect Mini-Orion lights until the total wattage of all combined LED in series reaches 95% of power supply rating. Do not overload the power supply.

Design and Select Your LED Under Cabinet Lighting

Select the size Mini-Orion best suited for your cabinet layout. Various lengths of Mini-Orion can be combined to allow

1” minimum clearance at each end for power and jumper connections. The extension connector (sold separately) allows end-to-end in-series connection of Mini-Orion.

Once you know which sizes of the Mini-Orion you will be using, select a power supply large enough to handle the total wattage of the combined LED lights on the circuit. Total wattage should not exceed 95% of the power supply rating. Do not overload the power supply.

Hardwire Power Supply Installation

Hardwire power supply installations are best performed by a licensed electrician.

Be sure power at electrical panel is OFF to circuit you are using. Locate suitable spot for Universal J-Box near AC input.

BLACK (Power)

BROWN

Install Universal J-Box (sold separately) where desired with strain relief connectors at selected locations on the J-Box. Install LED power supply into J-box using peel off tape on the back of the LED power supply and press into J-box, or mount with self- tapping screws in holes located on the unit.

Install the first Mini-Orion as desired using the peel off tape or the mounting clips (both provided in the package) and secure to underside of cabinet 1”-2” behind front lip, facing downward.

You may continue to connect Mini-Orion lights until the total wattage of all combined LED in series reaches 95% of power supply rating. Do not overload the power supply.

When combining Mini-Orion lengths total wattages should not exceed 95% of power supply rated wattage in any single run.

Example: 3-12”Mini-Orion + 4-23”Mini-Orion = 31.68 watts.

Connect the jumper to the “Red-Dot-End” of fi LED Mini-Orion.

To cut into jumpers, simply cut the jumper in half and strip the ends for connection. Then attach the 18-2 wire using diagram (2).
